Laal aloo (red potatoes)

- Boil 2 big potatoes in salted water until they’re soft. I think it took at least 20 minutes (but I didn’t have the heat high enough at first)
- Peel after boild
- Cut them in “aloo sized” pieces (I cut every quarter potato into ~7 pieces)
- Mash 4-ish pieces and add to pot, with the following:
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 “small spoon” (from my mom’s old kitchen. My guess is like 1/4 tsp) chaat masala
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp laal mirchi (red chili powder)
- 1/8 tsp paprika (I replaced w/ a dash of cayenne)
- 1.5 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp ground garlic
- Cook mixture on medium heat until water dries
- Put chopped potatoes in pot and mix with sauce. Maybe if I put less potato in the same amount of sauce it would have been better? It was too much food anyway.
