Bananas Foster

Mostly followed this recipe.

Ingredients
1 banana (barely ripe is good, overripe will turn to mush)
1/8 cup (2 tbsp) butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
Cinnamon
Vanilla extact
~1/8 cup pecans
~1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in metal skillet over low heat
  2. Add brown sugar, stir. Add cinnamon to taste, stir.
  3. Add vanilla extract to taste, stir. It’ll start sizzling when you add this.
  4. Cook for ~5 minutes, stirring. It should become kind of syrup/paste-y
  5. Slice banana with some pieces cross ways and some long ways. Try to do this while cooking the syrup rather than prepping beforehand so the bananas don’t start to brown.
  6. Stir bananas and pecans into syrup
  7. Add water (not necessarily all of it) to dilute and stir/cook for a few minutes until water mixes in with syrup and thickens
